Anything that you're comfortable exercising in! Typically, women tend to find leggings (or shorts) and sports top suitable, and men the same.

We provide towels and there is storage for your personal items in the studio itself. We have a water dispenser with disposable cups, but you are of-course welcome to bring a water bottle as well as any other essential items you need.

Once purchased, your account will be credited with class tokens, which you can then use to book classes online. 9. I am currently recovering from an injury, will Pilates help?

Joseph Pilates, initially developed his exercise system (Pilates) to help World War 2 veterans with their physical rehabilitation following injury. So, in short - yes!

With many different supine, prone and side-lying methods of engaging your muscles, Pilates can be adapted to work around any injury to gradually rehabilitate the affected area back to its optimal function.

Pilates can also help to strengthen the muscles and ligaments around the joints, making them more resilient and injury proof.

10. What is a Pilates reformer machine?

A Pilates reformer is a piece of apparatus that enables exercisers to engage their muscles in line with the natural movement patterns of the body.

The reformer makes this possible from a number of different positions and angles, making it suitable for people of all ages and abilities.

12. Is there any parking available at the studio?

There is no parking on Heathmans’ Road. There are a limited number of pay and display parking bays in the surrounding area. The best way to get here is by public transportation, with the nearest tube stop being Parsons Green (District Line). It is only a 5-minute walk from Parsons Green tube station.

11. I am already in good shape, what can Pilates add to my fitness routine?

Pilates is an excellent way of improving strength and stability in all areas of your body, and is a staple in the routine of many professional athletes. It develops an acute awareness of motor control and coordination.

Emphasis is also based on co-ordinating your core abdominals with the larger muscle groups in the body, which is essential for excelling at any movement based endeavour.
